If you are an art nut like I am then you will find my Fort Worth apartment ROMP like living in heaven.
I visit the museums at least once or twice a month. There is just so much to see. Fort Worth's Modern Art is huge and it takes days to go through. The exibits are always changing.
We have a brand new Fort Worth Science museum that just opened in November. I have been visiting the old Science Museum ever since I was wearing diapers.
World Class Museums surround the Residences Of Museum Place Apartment Complex:
5 World Class Museums reside in Fort Worth and they all surround my apartment, Residensies is pretty much in the center located across the street from the Kimbell Art Museum:
National Cowgirl Museum This is Fort Worth you know, we love cowgirls, cowboys, horses and cows.
Science Museum (Brand Spanking New)
Recently I saw the Chicago Impressionist collection while it was being held at the Kimbell as Chicago was doing restoration. I saw some of the amazing greats like Van Gogh.
Fort Worth's Kimbell Art just received Michelangelo's first painting that he did around the age of twelve.
Here's Kimbell proudly announcing the arrival of their New Michelangelo painting:
This is not a site all about museums. I could go on and on. The point is that if you are interested in art and culture then this is one of the best places to live regarding Fort Worth Texas.
Great Cultural District Walking Map:
Here is an awesome Fort Worth Cultural District Walking Map courtesy of Fort Worth. There are a few really great Fort Worth Maps located here. On the Walking map my place is on the north side of Camp Bowie which is at the top of the map in between Will Rogers and Arch Adams from middle to right of the map. We are located directly across the street from #7 Kimbell Art Museum. What can I say.
Outdoor Music Entertainment:
Buddy Guy legendary blues guitar artist playing at the Camp Bowie Jazz Fest across the street from my apartment. Did I mention how much I love this place! It was a great experience taking his picture. Fans show their admiration. Their expressions are so telling.
One street over there is the Will Rogers Memorial Center which includes Will Rogers Coliseum, Auditorium, Equestrian Center and Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibits Building. The center generally has something going on every week including dog shows, bridal shows, art and craft shows, car shows, animal stock shows, and the Camp Bowie Jazz Fest just to mention a few.
I can't possibly cover all the attractions in the Cultural District but I think you get the idea. I am only covering things that are 2 minutes from my door. However there are two more attractions I would like to mention:
And how could I forget the Omni Theater, next door to the New Fort Worth Science and History Museum. The projector alone is 6 feet tall weighing in at one ton. The IMAX Dome is so cool.
Nearby Health Facilities:
One of the many benefits of living in this complex is that the Fort Worth Hospital District is only 9 minutes / 4.22 miles from your doorstep. Harris and John Peter Smith are two of the major hospitals in the area. Health facilities are abundant in Fort Worth.
The Cultural District is probably the most relaxing, interesting and convenient area of Fort Worth to live.
